Poverty, the lack of prospects and run-down houses characterize a big part of Panama-City. The hope of getting out of poverty leads many young frustrated men into gangs, which are responsible for drug trafficking, raids and violence. The Esperanza Project helps these gang-members to reintegrate into society and to offer them a new future.
